Hic-ups, dr. appts., and baby gear

This pregnancy has just flown by (except for those first anxious weeks before we saw a heartbeat). It is hard to imagine that NEXT month we could be having a baby!! Although, I really believe it will be more like the first week in August.

By this far along with Julia, I think I already had the baby furniture bought and assembled, and had the room mostly set-up.. I think I also had most of the major baby stuff bought (car seat, swing, etc..). I also had my showers right around this time, so I had all that stuff too. I remember not having much to buy after that point. This time around, we really have not done much of anything. I FINALLY made some baby purchases last night. I really wanted a new camera (although that is not really baby related). We also needed a new baby monitor since the one we have is on it's last legs. Luckily, most of the major baby items were gender neutral, so they can all be used again, but they are still in storage. Julia's new room is still not even close to being done (Jude will take her old room). I do know we will have to get new furniture for Julia's new room too. Frankly, I am not too stressed about it. I keep thinking I have plenty of time to do it. I guess I don't have as much time as I think. Maybe I need to think about going through Julia's old stuff. I also need to make a trip down to Babies "R" Us to pick up several things. But, if it is not all done before he comes, it is not that big of a deal.

In neat baby news, last week Jude got the hic-ups for the first time. He has had them several times since. I know hic-ups are a good sign of lung development and Julia had them a lot too towards the end of pregnancy. It is just such a funny feeling when he has them.

I have a midwife appt again tomorrow. They are getting more and more frequent. I am also seeing my chiropractor a lot more now that I am farther along. Both just sigh and shake their heads when I tell them all that I am still doing. I have been seeing this chiro for over 10 years and he also seen my dad for a number of years, so he knows that sitting around is just not in my nature. My midwife did say I should really give up mowing grass, but as long as I am not having any pain or contractions, I could contiune to be as active as I want. Good thing because I have been busy! Jerrod has finally taken over mowing (although, I am very tempted to do it because he waits too long to do it and then does a bad job of it). But I am still cleaning, planting flowers, walking to the library, chasing after Julia, etc... On the days I am really tired or sore, I will try to take it easy and do more sitting and resting and less work. The belly is starting to get in the way of me doing things. I can no longer bend over to give Julia a bath, Jerrod now does that.

I am starting to get really excited.
